Shipping Information

     You Lucky Dog ships all of our packages via FedEx and UPS from our location in San Diego, California. We do ship to Alaska and Hawaii, but cannot ship outside of the Continental US, except for orders placed by phone through our Custom Programs.

     We cannot not ship to P.O boxes, APO's or FPO's as FedEx & UPS requires a numerical street address for all deliveries.

     FedEx & UPS delivers on Monday through Friday. We can arrange for a Saturday delivery for an additional fee of $30.00 - please call us at 888.729.2377 to confirm that Saturday delivery is available for the address requested.

     FedEx & UPS delivers from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM. Typically they will deliver to businesses first, and then to residential addresses.

     Business addresses do require a signature, but not necessarily from the recipient whose name is on the box. Anyone in the building is able to sign for the package. Please be sure to include the company name and floor/suite number if you are sending to an office building.

     Residential addresses typically do not require a signature. HOWEVER, if there is no one there to accept the package, and the driver does not feel comfortable leaving it for ANY reason, s/he is required NOT to leave the package. FedEx & UPS will make three delivery attempts before returning the package to You Lucky Dog. FedEx & UPS will leave note on the door following each delivery attempt. Please be sure to include the apartment number if you are sending to an apartment building.

Please note: Most of our baked goods need to ship 2nd day when shipping outside of California.

Shipping Options

Shipping to One Location

     You can save money by shipping your entire order to one location. But please be sure you have plans for immediate distribution to recipients if your gift includes a baked good  to guarantee freshness. We also offer several delicious products that have longer shelf-lives if it’s going to take you more than a week to distribute your gifts to all the recipients.

Shipping to Multiple Locations

     We can simplify your marketing and gifting programs and mail directly to your personalized list of gift recipients. These “direct ship” programs are what we’re famous for because the experience is so terrific and many people have never before experienced such fresh and tasty “corporate” gifts. Local San Diego Area Courier Service: We can also deliver via Courier in the San Diego Metro Area.

Shipping Policies

Ground Shipping


     All orders placed by 9:00 a.m. PST can be processed the following business day and can ship out to arrive within 7business days.

     FedEx & UPS Ground shipping delivery dates can't be guaranteed, only estimated. Depending on the business day of the week you place your order, you can usually expect the following:

  • Southern California delivery: within 1 business day
  • Northern California & Southwestern delivery: within 2-3 business days
  • North & Midwest delivery: within 3-5 business days
  • New England delivery: within 4-5 business days
  • Alaska/Hawaii delivery: within 3-7 business days

2nd Day Delivery

     All orders placed by 9:00 a.m. PST can be processed the following business day and delivered 2 business days from that date.  For example,

  • Orders placed by 9:00 a.m. PST on Monday can ship Tuesday to be delivered Thursday
  • Orders placed by 9:00 a.m. PST on Thursday can ship Friday to be delivered Tuesday

Overnight Delivery

     All orders placed by 9:00 a.m. PST can be processed the following business day and delivered the next business day after that. For example,

  • Orders placed by 9:00 a.m. PST Monday can ship Tuesday to be delivered Wednesday
  • Orders placed by 9:00 a.m. PST Thursday can ship Friday to be delivered on Monday

Corporate Payment Terms

     Payment terms include:

      • $0 - $5,000 Orders: Advance payment by credit card or check is required before a product will ship
      • $5,000+ Orders: A 50% deposit is due at the time an order is placed with the balance due before a product will ship
      • Credit Application is needed for all new customers ordering $5,000+. You may request our Credit Application by email at Customer Service@YLDinc.com
      • Please fax your application to your YLD Corporate Contact’s attention at 877-929-2377
      • For custom jobs, the down payment must be received before any special materials will be ordered
      • Discounts apply to product costs and services charges, but do not apply to Shipping and cannot be combined with any other offers

Sales Tax Policy

        • You Lucky Dog operates out of a San Diego, CA location, therefore it is subject to charge CA Sales Tax in the rate of 8.75% on every phone, fax, mail, or internet order that will be shipped within the State of California.  All orders shipping to multiple locations are invoiced with separate line items breaking out those items shipped out of state and those shipped in-state subject to CA Sales Tax.

Credit Card Policy

      • Orders placed online will be charged immediately at time of checkout
      • Orders place by telephone will be charged dependent on the Corporate Payment Terms above.

Proof of Delivery & Invoicing

      • For on-line orders you will receive an auto-confirmation immediately
      • If you require an invoice, it can be printed from www.YLDinc.com by going to “My Account” and clicking on “Order Status”, select the particular order by clicking on the order number and it will pop up. The print button is at the top center of our page or is available through “File Print” on your browser
      • When you order via phone we will confirm with an email and also send you an invoice at your request
